Recreational Classes
Recreational classes are a low-commitment, high-value option open to all dancers & performers. Enjoy a selection of classes across 9 varieties of dance and drama. From once a week to 3, build a timetable that suits you and your family giving your child the best of everything!
All recreational students are automatically included in our End of Year concert. We believe in celebrating every dancer on stage, no matter how often they are in the studio!

Weekly Classes
Standard Class Pricing:

30-minute class: $11 per week

45-minute class: $13 per week

60-minute class: $15 per week

90-minute classes: $18 per week
Example:
Student A: Takes 1 class per week:

1 x 45-minute class = $13

This student pays $13 per week
Discounts
2. Discount Structure:

2-3 classes per week: 5% discount on the total price of those classes.

4-5 classes per week: 10% discount on the total price of those classes.
Example:
Student B: Takes 4 classes per week:

2 x 45-minute classes = $13 x 2 = $26

2 x 60-minute classes = $15 x 2 = $30

Total before discount = $26 + $30 = $56

10% Discount = $56 x 0.90 = $50.40

30-minute class: $30 per booking

Certificate Fees
2.5 Hour Practical: no more than $30 per week

Capped Fees
3. Fee Cap Structure:

Cap at $65 (with discount applied): After discounts are applied to the total weekly fee for classes, the fee is capped at $65.

Beyond $65: Once the fee reaches the $65 cap, no additional payment is required until the total class value reaches $100.

Maximum Weekly Value: After the total class value hits $100, no further payment is required for classes for that week. (Excluding private lessons)
Example:
Student C: Takes 6 classes per week:

Assume a mix of classes that normally totals $80 (e.g., 2 x 45-minute and 4 x 60-minute classes).

Total before discount = $80

Apply 10% Discount (since it's 6 classes):

$80 x 0.90 = $72

Cap at $65: They pay $65 as it is the cap.

Remaining Classes: They can take more classes without additional payment until the total class value reaches $100. (Excluding Private Lessons & Certificate Programs)
Important Update: Payment Processing Fees in 2026
From 2026, we’ll be making some small changes to how payments are processed at Momentum Performing Arts Academy.
In previous years, the Academy has covered the service fees charged by online payment platforms such as Square, DanceStudio Pro, and PayPal. Unfortunately, these costs have increased significantly, and to keep our class prices as affordable as possible, we will now be passing these service fees on to the customer.
If you choose to make payments through DanceStudio Pro, PayPal, or Square, a small service fee will be added to your transaction.
To avoid these fees, you are welcome to pay directly via bank transfer (details are listed on your invoice and in your Parent Portal) or in cash at the studio.
We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support as we continue to make choices that help keep dance accessible for all our families.
If you wish to establish a payment plan we are more than happy to help! To do so, you will need to sign up for Auto-Pay.
After completing the auto-pay registration please send an email to: Christine.mpaa@gmail.com
Detailing whether you would like your payment plan to be weekly, fortnightly or monthly. In doing so you will avoid any late fees.
